Having a fantastic accommodation during your honeymoon makes the entire trip even more romantic and memorable. If you and your loved one have been hearing wedding bells, or if you have already tied the knot but have not gone to a honeymoon yet because of your busy professional life, this article is perfect for you. We want to help you save time so we have listed the best hotels for a romantic honeymoon.

au-plaza-athenee-terrace-eiffel-suite-bedroom2.jpg

Eiffel Suite Classic, Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, France
The fact that this hotel is situated in Paris should make it unnecessary for one to explain why it is considered as one of the most romantic accommodations in the world. The property offers 1,400 square ft units with terraces that give you a view of the majestic–yep, you got it—Eiffel Tower! Prepare the traditional accordion music!

Shompole in Kenya
Shompole is a luxurious eco safari lodge which offers only eight alfresco rooms set on the Great Rift Valley. Because the units are open, the guests are exposed to nature and have access to amazing views, and sometimes, close view of the wildlife. This is for you if you’re the adventurous type. But what makes it romantic? Their service includes pampering the guests every minute of the day and each room is designed to make you think you’re the only ones in the entire property. Sweet!

Ocean Panorama Pool Villa, Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand
The pictures alone can explain why this place is so romantic. From your bed or from anywhere in your villa, you get a view of the breath-taking Phang Nga Bay. Each villa has an outdoor shower, a private pool and a terrace. Just imagine waking up to that view with your love right beside you!

little-palm-island-resort.jpg

Island Romance Suite, Little Palm Island Resort and Spa in the Florida Keys
The fact that this is on a private island which is reachable only by a seaplane or boat already tells you that the honeymooners who check-in here will definitely get the kind of isolation they want. There are no TVs and internet access, which means zero distraction. Zero distraction means you can spend all day together, and enjoy the serenity.

15452982

Tivoli Palacio de Seteais in Portugal
If one of your biggest dreams in life is to be a royal princess in a fairy tale, then this is the place to be. Eighteenth-century murals cover the walls of this spacious, white palace and the pieces of furniture are made to look like they are from several centuries ago. The beds are so luxurious they are fit for royalty and sweet, romantic piano music is played to entertain and soothe the guests every night.

The-Chedi-Muscat-palm-trees.jpg

The Chedi in Oman
This property is quite the opposite of number 5. The property is all about modern contemporary design but still all elements exude elegance. Lovebirds who stay here will be surrounded by palms and splashing water fountains and will be pampered with fresh fruits and Arabic pastries every single day. The rooms boast king-sized beds, luxurious marble bathtubs, and silver and gold bedroom accents.

vamizi-island-lodge.jpg

Vamizi, Mozambique
This place is synonymous with the word “paradise”. It is surrounded by turquoise water and abundant marine life as it is a conservationist project managed by the Maluane Project. The guests will enjoy quiet moments on spacious verandas, barefoot walks on the sugar-like beach sand, torch-lit pathways at night, and fresh seafood at any time of the day. The property does not have pools or baths, but who needs those when you have the majestic sea right in front of you? And what makes it even better? It is a bit challenging to get here. Transportation is a mix of charter plane rides and dirt road drives. Ah! The memories you’ll make!

maxresdefault.jpg

The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur in India
Every single thing in this splendid property is extraordinary. The service includes pampering of the guests, which means they can eat their dinner in their own private garden while cultural dancers perform in the background. Lovebirds can also choose to ride a horse-drawn carriage covered lavishly in vibrant flowers to the Shiva Temple, which is also located on the property, where they can renew their vows if they wish to. Honeymooners can loosen up and swim in the pool which has flowing water from ornate elephants made of manifestly high-priced marble or simply enjoy a quiet evening in a sophisticated claw-foot tub in a luxurious room lit by nothing else but candles. We told you, this place is all about extraordinary luxury.

Top 5 locations for Christmas

Christmas, a festive season for many families to get together and celebrate the wonders of Christ. Besides getting too commercialised and think Christmas is all about surviving the mad crowds and rush discounted shopping, it is also about giving and sharing, under the blanket of snow on a magical night, in front of a warm fireplace. Here are some of my personal favourite locations for Christmas.

christmas-81922_960_720

Munich, Germany
The Bavarian capital- is a great way to spend a traditional Christmas. With the city dating back to 1158, there seems to be a story behind every building. The Christmas gem, what gives this place its charm during the holidays, is their famous city markets. Marienplatz (St. Mary’s Square) is Located in the centre of Munich. The shops start on November 25th and lasting until the December 24th. At this century-old event buyers can find Bavarian wood carvings, local food, clothes, carved nutcrackers, homemade soaps and much more. Along with this, the scene is illuminated by a 100ft Christmas tree and during the afternoon live music can be heard.

New York, U.S.
With a population over 8 million, everyone can find their holiday niche in the big apple. For the more touristy people, Rockefeller Center Plaza should be the first stop. With their 80ft Norway Spruce decorated with over 45,000 lights topped off with a 550lb star, this iconic sight fills spectators with holiday spirit. Next take a trip over to a Broadway performance or check out the Rockettes at Radio City Christmas spectacular. For more local visitors, try driving through the city’s boroughs to check out neighbourhood competition for better decorations or if the weather permits, go to one of the many parks for some sledging.

Screen Shot 2016-10-25 at 12.14.42 PM.png

Napapiiri, Finland
Most popularly known for their midnight sun, northern lights and ski resorts, Napapiiri makes this fairy tale come true. With Santa Claus Village, an amusement park that opened in 1985, tourists can walk to the Arctic Circle, talk with Santa or visit their mail post where over 15 million letters have been received. For the older crowd, this place is great for skiing and snowmobiling or maybe you’re looking to take a sledge ride with reindeer. For the more laid back, trying spending the holidays with savoury finish food after a candle lit saunas out looking a snow white landscape. But be warned, this area only has 5 hours of sunlight during December and temperatures can reach far below freezing.

Paris, France
As the 3rd most popular place in the world to visit, the city of lights does not disappoint coming Christmas time. With the colourful carousels and markets that come to life and decorated stores competing for the best window displays, this location exudes the holiday charm. Some of the most recommended places to visit include making a trip to the Notre Dame Cathedral, exploring the dazzling light displays and ice skating on the first level of the Eiffel tower, at 200 ft. Maybe even stop at a before bakery to grab a famed pastry.

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Christmas is not always the picture-perfect winter wonderland, but even so, places like San Juan still pull it off. This Spanish capital is known to have the longest Christmas celebration, starting the day after Thanksgiving and ending January 14th. The music is different, the food is different, the traditions are different, but the man in the red suit is still the same. One great tradition is the parrandas you might hear after night. Friends will gather together and surprise one of their buddies by spontaneously playing music. After they are done sometimes more will join sparking parrandas that last the whole night. Another, one of the day’s highlights occurs on Jan. 6th when the wise men, three locals riding horses, ride into San Juan, signifying the start of gift giving.

It isn’t too late to plan where you like to spend your Christmas this year. Leave it to us to create the perfect Christmas holiday for you and your family at asks@ladyredot.com.
