How to Propose while On Vacation

The “love is on the air” season is around the corner and couples are preparing the way to impressively express their love to their significant one, some decide to bring the relationship to the next level with the proposal. Those who are travelling is no exception, so how to propose your loved one while you are on the trip or how to plan for that? Check out some suggestions for impressive proposal ideas while you are travelling.

1. If you are a good organiser and on a big budget, give him/her a scavenger hunt trip to cities where your partner always loves to visit. At each destination, he/she will get a clue for the next destination and at the final destination, you will be there and wait for her to say “Yes”. To do this, you need to get in touch pretty much with the locals if you can go first to arrange everything.

2. How about making a journey video of you both at each destination, where you secretly propose your loved one? After that, edit to match with he/she saying “Yes” to random question you asked at each place. Finally show them the video in a romantic setting, I don’t think he/she can say no now. What you need: a camera to record your journey and edit them later. Oh and a list of question where you can get he/she to say “Yes”.

3. If you are on the solo trip yourself and thinking of proposing your significant one when you are back, this could work. You can ask the host family or locals you stayed with to write down / record a short video stated: “why he/she think you will be a good future husband/ wife” or what they wish for you both in marriage. Make a promise with the host family that you will return with your husband/ wife in the future.

4. Another way is asking the help of locals in any destination to help you hide a “fortune teller box” at one of the holy places you both will be visiting (church/temples, etc). The box will be then handed to your significant one by a stranger and tada, surprise, you both are tied by fate.

5. For nature lover folks, go somewhere you can camp together. Make sure you paint your proposal question on your tent with “glow in the dark” paint. Imagine you both are already in such romantic and wild setting, after having such a good time enjoy the campfire outside, retreat for a good night sleep, he/she see this, surprise and delight!

6. Surprise from the planning stage is another fantastic way. You can try to prepare a list of destinations, whose the initial words combined will be “Marry me”. If budget allows doing the trip, show him/her the tickets with the circle on each word and watch him/her say yes. In case your budget does not allow the trip take place immediately, at least you both have a bucket list together to look forward in the future.

7. Lastly, do it classical way. Asking the hotel to help you prepare the proposal. You can pretty much be creative with your script/ setting and ask the manager to arrange for you accordingly.

So yes, travelling is one of the best ways to propose your significant one in a meaningful way, which show how much you thought of them on each step you taking or will be taking. So let plan a trip and ensure your proposal get a Yes from “the one”.

Worldwide Romantic Locations

Romantic, hmmm different people will have different ideal romantic pictures: to some, it’s the dazzling beaches, to others, it’s candlelit dinner in the middle of nowhere. So when it comes to picking the ideal destinations for you and your significant other half, it depends on what you and your half love to experience. Maybe a little guide will help you to choose better?

Let’s start the journey with exotic destinations in Africa, the colony usually got the bias for being rich in culture yet dry and rough in nature, my stereotype vanished shortly after knowing such dreamy places are in Africa.

Avenue of the Baobabs, Madagascar
These iconic trees are a must see when you visit this famous land. Imagine the two of you, so little, enjoying the sunray blend perfectly with the giant trees, during the sunset or sunrise. Wish your love grows as robust as the baobabs trees.

Victoria Falls
“Hello from the other side”, the Falls is located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe offers the best romantic activities: from packing a picnic basket to enjoy the most magnificent view of the Falls while you wine and dine, or taking bungee jumping together to catching the most beautiful moonlight or having a sunset cruise with arms wrap around each other. Enough to wow your dream romance getaway yet? Tip: the Zambia side is less touristy, which means you can enjoy same experiences but with more privacy.

Fez, Morocco
The state of world culture and art undeniably bring you the best experiences while travelling as a couple or solo. If you both are obsessed with the architecture, colourful decoration or shopping unique items for your new home together, you are in the right place. The city itself evoke the sense of romance in an authentic atmosphere.

Now get on the plane and fly to Europe, home of romances.

Santorini, Greece
Obviously, this famous white and blue beach city are among the places where your dream come true. Every corner here celebrate the love: exotic beaches, dinner or breakfast with Ocean view, dim light and listen to the wave, honeymoon over and over again.

Unarguably, Prague is one of the most romantic cities in Europe. The heart of Europe has several to do lists for the couple: walk around the vintage city with the generous touch of nature: mild weather, river, trees, and flower. What else is unique: do check out the local love land at Petřín Park on the May 1, the “day of love” they call, some excellent activities to see and do.

Brugge, Belgium
I know lot of other cities in Europe should be on this list, but why Brugge, because I’m a chocolate avid and of course chocolate to me associated with romance. November is the month you should schedule to be here for the chocolate festival. Who doesn’t love Belgium chocolate, get to see such celebration where you find yourself get lost in the chocolate museum and art and free samples, oh yes, pure romance it is. Bonus, the city, has its charms that you will for sure enjoy as well.

How about Asia, what can it offer for honeymooners? Apparently, the tropical weather comes in handy with fantastic beaches and islands across Asia, let me make some recommendations:

The Pearl of Indian Ocean, I believed no words needed to praise the most sought after honeymoon destination. But do plan fast as the country will be the first to disappear due to the greenhouse effects. You surely don’t want to miss the crystal white sand beaches, resorts on the sea and lots more here.

Dalat, Vietnam
The hot spot year round for couple get away; the little Paris apparently is the romance capital of the country. The city offers beautiful landscape with flowers, mountain, waterfalls and plenty more to offer. You are in Asia, with the touch of Europe, experience the blended culture, with the cup of coffee during the windy, cold days. Tip: ride a couple bicycle to test the compatibility of you and your partner, it’s fun.

Lombok, Indonesia
Love Bali yet tired of the crowd? Try the sister island, which is 3 hours ferry ride away. Similar to Bali, the island offers tranquil beaches and an active volcano. Get adventurous with your love ones climbing the mountain, have picnics and then retreat to the beach. Doesn’t it sound like such a memorable trip altogether?

Lastly, check out the Middle East.

Abu Dhabi
Remember the luxury scenes in “Sex and the City”; yes the desert romance will blow your mind in real life too. Enjoy the five-star lifestyle at one of the finest resorts and hotels hub worldwide, joining a Night Safari tour and peak: sunrise balloon ride across the desert. Not to mention, romantic dinner set at stretching sand dunes, I would say yes all the way.

Regardless where you might pick to reheat your love, it’s essential that the experiences you will get together, those shared photos and feelings will create the most romantic memories when looking back.

Whether it is candlelight dinner by the beach or a stroll by the river, our specialists here at LadyRedot can arrange everything perfectly for you. Just

Romantic Activities In Little Red Dot

They say that keeping a relationship requires effort from the individuals involved and for some odd reason, people always seem to equate the word effort to the dreaded word “expensive”. Especially in a romantic relationship, exerting effort to show your partner how much you care does not necessarily mean that you have to spend all your life savings on one activity.

You are not required to take your other half on an expensive trip together or lavish him/her with pricey gifts. Sometimes, doing something as simple as watching the sunset together is enough to keep that romantic fire burning for the both of you.

On the other hand, money should not even be an issue if your goal is to honour your relationship by doing stuff together. So here are a few romantic activities that you and your partner can take advantage of in Singapore:

On top of my list is, you guessed it right – watching the sunset together! I firmly believe that therein lies in each one us that alone, but an intense and profound connection to nature. Despite Singapore being a seemingly very busy city with people who look like they could never fit in a minute or two for trivial activities such as watching the sunset, there are a number of perfect spots for couples to go to, to spend a quiet time together marvelling at the setting sun. What better way to forget the frenzied hurly-burly of the city life and get all romantic with your partner without having to spend a dollar, eh?

One favourite spot for family and couples is the Henderson Waves – a place perched on an elevated height (perfect for sunset watching) and with a bridge that, like magic, lights up beautifully when dusk falls. Just writing about this wonderful place and thinking of spending an afternoon with my beau there is already getting me teary-eyed and making me feel all giddy and romantic.

There are other perfect places for sunset watching too, like the Ulu Pandan Reservoir where the sun kisses the massive water body before it rests for the night, spreading hues of yellow and orange and all other dreamy colours that sunset brings with it. There is also the famous Pulau Ubin Island – not only is it a favourite place for cycling, but it also becomes a paradise when the sun starts to dip.

There are a lot more fascinating places in Singapore you and your partner can visit where you both can spend a romantic afternoon watching the setting sun in all its majesty.

Another thing that couples can do together to spice up their relationship is to spend a quiet afternoon talking about just anything, and everything under the sun over a good cup of coffee in any of the small, comfortable and warm coffee shops tucked in the city’s less crowded corners.

For one, there is the Whisk Café in 58 Seng Poh Road, a minimalistic café all washed in white – white walls, white pillars, white stools, everything in refreshing white. If you are looking for an old-school ambience coupled with delicious tasting desserts, the Carpenter & Cook will give you exactly what you are looking for. Their shop sports old benches and authentic cutlery that make for a lovely ambience.

A quiet afternoon spent inside these cosy cafés with your significant other will give you time to catch up amidst your busy work schedules and will provide you with the perfect venue to talk about things that concern your relationship.

I could go on and on, talking about the many romantic activities that couples can do together, but, at the end of the day, any activity can be romantic as long as both you and your partner decide to put your heart and mind into it. The main point I guess is being able to spend quality time with your significant other however way you want to spend it.

Most Romantic Hotels Perfect for Honeymooners

Having a fantastic accommodation during your honeymoon makes the entire trip even more romantic and memorable. If you and your loved one have been hearing wedding bells, or if you have already tied the knot but have not gone to a honeymoon yet because of your busy professional life, this article is perfect for you. We want to help you save time so we have listed the best hotels for a romantic honeymoon.

Eiffel Suite Classic, Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, France
The fact that this hotel is situated in Paris should make it unnecessary for one to explain why it is considered as one of the most romantic accommodations in the world. The property offers 1,400 square ft units with terraces that give you a view of the majestic–yep, you got it—Eiffel Tower! Prepare the traditional accordion music!

Shompole in Kenya
Shompole is a luxurious eco safari lodge which offers only eight alfresco rooms set on the Great Rift Valley. Because the units are open, the guests are exposed to nature and have access to amazing views, and sometimes, close view of the wildlife. This is for you if you’re the adventurous type. But what makes it romantic? Their service includes pampering the guests every minute of the day and each room is designed to make you think you’re the only ones in the entire property. Sweet!

Ocean Panorama Pool Villa, Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand
The pictures alone can explain why this place is so romantic. From your bed or from anywhere in your villa, you get a view of the breath-taking Phang Nga Bay. Each villa has an outdoor shower, a private pool and a terrace. Just imagine waking up to that view with your love right beside you!

Island Romance Suite, Little Palm Island Resort and Spa in the Florida Keys
The fact that this is on a private island which is reachable only by a seaplane or boat already tells you that the honeymooners who check-in here will definitely get the kind of isolation they want. There are no TVs and internet access, which means zero distraction. Zero distraction means you can spend all day together, and enjoy the serenity.

Tivoli Palacio de Seteais in Portugal
If one of your biggest dreams in life is to be a royal princess in a fairy tale, then this is the place to be. Eighteenth-century murals cover the walls of this spacious, white palace and the pieces of furniture are made to look like they are from several centuries ago. The beds are so luxurious they are fit for royalty and sweet, romantic piano music is played to entertain and soothe the guests every night.

The Chedi in Oman
This property is quite the opposite of number 5. The property is all about modern contemporary design but still all elements exude elegance. Lovebirds who stay here will be surrounded by palms and splashing water fountains and will be pampered with fresh fruits and Arabic pastries every single day. The rooms boast king-sized beds, luxurious marble bathtubs, and silver and gold bedroom accents.

Vamizi, Mozambique
This place is synonymous with the word “paradise”. It is surrounded by turquoise water and abundant marine life as it is a conservationist project managed by the Maluane Project. The guests will enjoy quiet moments on spacious verandas, barefoot walks on the sugar-like beach sand, torch-lit pathways at night, and fresh seafood at any time of the day. The property does not have pools or baths, but who needs those when you have the majestic sea right in front of you? And what makes it even better? It is a bit challenging to get here. Transportation is a mix of charter plane rides and dirt road drives. Ah! The memories you’ll make!

The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur in India
Every single thing in this splendid property is extraordinary. The service includes pampering of the guests, which means they can eat their dinner in their own private garden while cultural dancers perform in the background. Lovebirds can also choose to ride a horse-drawn carriage covered lavishly in vibrant flowers to the Shiva Temple, which is also located on the property, where they can renew their vows if they wish to. Honeymooners can loosen up and swim in the pool which has flowing water from ornate elephants made of manifestly high-priced marble or simply enjoy a quiet evening in a sophisticated claw-foot tub in a luxurious room lit by nothing else but candles. We told you, this place is all about extraordinary luxury.
